Features

ATS-ready by design.

Applicant tracking systems read your resume before a person does. Our ATS templates use standard section names, a logical reading order, and real text — never text trapped inside images — so your details land in the right fields.

See every change live.

Type on the left, watch your resume update on the right. Reorder jobs, projects, and skills with a click.

Write stronger bullet points.

Not sure what to say? Pick from example bullets for your job title, then make them yours with your own numbers.

Check before you send.

Get a quick review that flags missing sections, vague phrases like “responsible for”, bullets without results, and contact details you forgot — plus a job-description keyword match.

Make it yours.

Adjust colors and section order without breaking the layout. Professional by default, personal when you want it.

Resume advice that's actually useful

Frequently asked questions

Is Best Resume Studio really free?

Yes. Creating an account, editing and downloading your resume as a PDF are free, with no watermark and no credit card. There is no trial that turns into a subscription.

What does “2 templates a day” mean?

Each free account can open up to two different templates per day (the day resets at 00:00 UTC). Re-opening a template you already opened today doesn't count again, and editing and downloading are not limited.

Are the templates ATS-friendly?

Our ATS collection uses standard headings, a simple reading order and real text. The Download PDF button creates a PDF with selectable text that applicant tracking systems can read.

Should I put a photo on a US resume?

Usually not. Most US employers prefer resumes without photos, so photos are optional in our builder and left out of ATS templates.

How long should my resume be?

One page for students and early-career candidates, up to two pages for experienced professionals. The resume checker warns you if yours runs longer.

PDF or Word?

PDF keeps your layout exactly as designed and is accepted almost everywhere. We also offer a plain-text download for online application forms.

Can I switch templates after I start?

Yes. Save your details in My Profile and every template you open starts with them — the design changes, your content stays.

Where is my data stored, and can I delete it?

Your account stores only your email address. Resume content you save to your account is encrypted on our server. You can download your data or delete your account at any time from My Profile.

Can I build my resume on my phone?

Yes. On small screens the builder switches between Edit and Preview tabs.

Do you write my resume with AI?

No. We give you guided sections, example bullet points to adapt and a rule-based checker — the words and facts stay yours.

Your next interview starts with one page.
